Mixed Blunder

Local Lebanese brand Al Rifai is a household name renowned for its assortment of mixed nuts. It also is an entity that is fully aware of the role communication, especially advertising plays for pushing its brand farther. As such, it has been for a number of years investing heavily in that sector. However, this time around, it would seem that the company has committed a great blunder related to its most recent online ad, which it secretly ‘borrowed’ from a 1995 VW ad created for the French market.

The similarities are so stark that it could not possibly have been a mistake, then again, if no one finds out then that makes things OK, NOT.
