ADFEST will soon reveal the winners of the ADFEST 2021 Lotus Awards in a virtual awards ceremony on 8 April, 2021 at 12pm (UTC+7).

ADFEST has announced the first-round of 2021 finalists in the following categories: Brand Experience Lotus; Design Lotus; Digital Craft Lotus; Digital Lotus; Direct Lotus; eCommerce Lotus; Film Craft Lotus; Media Lotus; Mobile Lotus; New Director Lotus; PR Lotus; and Print & Outdoor Craft Lotus.

On 31 March, ADFEST will reveal the second round of finalists in the following categories: Audio Lotus; Branded Entertainment Lotus; Effective Lotus; Film Lotus; INNOVA Lotus; Lotus Roots; Outdoor Lotus; and Press Lotus.

Grand Jury President Judy John, Global Chief Creative Officer at Edelman Toronto, says: “Earning attention and finding your way into people’s lives is not easy – especially when there’s more content in more places that people can engage with, or choose not to. This year’s Lotus winners found creative ways to get people’s attention and to get them to care.”

Anuwat Nitipanont, Chief Creative Officer at BBDO Bangkok and Jury President of Audio Lotus, Film Lotus, Outdoor Lotus & Press Lotus, adds: “ADFEST has very high judging standards – to win a Grande, it must be work that can push the industry and is something that we can learn from. As a jury, we were looking for world-class ideas that not only perfectly represent each category but are made from a great insight, and find a genius way to deliver the idea.”

Founded in 1998, ADFEST is one of only eight regional creative festivals included in the WARC Creative Rankings, the annual worldwide league tables for the global advertising industry.

Kem Suraphongchai, Festival Director of ADFEST, says: “While it’s evident that the pandemic has affected the number of entries and finalists this year, it is also clear that the power of creativity is alive and well. There are many notable campaigns that come from a place of strength and resilience, proving that we as an industry continue to find ways to adapt and evolve.”

Jimmy Lam, President of ADFEST, adds: “As a forum for creative excellence, ADFEST has always existed to share ground-breaking ideas so we can all learn from each other. I want to thank the entire jury who spent a lot of time debating the 2020 winners, immediately followed by judging the 2021 winners. Thanks also to our friends and supporters for your continuing support and passion for ADFEST. We hope you will join us on 8 April to celebrate the best ideas and creators in the Asia Pacific and Middle East.”
