Intermarché and Romance agency present a message of hope with new campaign titled ‘I Want to Be With You'

Intermarché has been alongside the community throughout this global crisis. The brand has played a major role in helping consumers and producers alike by selling their products at cost. As the company has been supportive during these tough times it also wishes to remind everyone, that as it has always been, it will also be there for the good days.


As France begins to ease restrictions, Intermarché wanted to send a message of hope and promise, celebrating the emotion of finally being able to (safely) reunite with friends and family. And project on the best of moments we all are going to experience again (at least the hope is prevalent): the first dinner with the loved ones we’ve all missed so much. A reunion that will be filled with great emotion for everyone. And when there is emotion, Intermarché-- and its agency Romance-- are never far away.
The French grocery store rolled out ‘I Want to Be With You’.
Filmed during lockdown, the 1 minute spot doesn't feature people or has any narration. Instead, the film, which was released the day before the end of the confinement in France, features shots of those doorways we've all been looking at longingly for weeks, aptly conveying the loneliness of yesterday and the promise of the future.
"I Want To Be With You" was directed, like the previous opuses in the saga, by Katia Lewkowicz. This time she proves her skill by showing us her ability to move audiences and invoke human emotion without filming people, and even by directing through Facetime. But if asked, she will tell you the credit goes to Nina Simone whose song “Je suis seule mais desire être avec vous”/”I’m alone but I want to be with you” resonates in us and through the film’s footages.
