Every year, millions make the pilgrimage to Mecca.

Centuries ago, the long-anticipated pilgrimage was done on the backs of camels across long and treacherous terrain. Today, it takes just a few hours in the air - quicker and more accessible than ever before, but the rich heritage and the priceless traditions of the long and immersive journey getting there on the ground have been lost with time… until now. Especially that for those with the luxury of time, the long journey there can be as cathartic as the destination. 

This Ramadan, Mercedes-Benz Middle East presents 'The Road to Mecca' - a four-part docuseries and journey for the soul, produced by Leo Burnett, Publicis Emil, and Stoked. 

The series narrates the story of Captain Nabil Al Rostamani, an Emirati family man and proud commercial aviation pilot, as he embarks on a cathartic journey of self-discovery.

Throughout the four episodes, viewers follow him as he leaves behind his pilot wings and hectic life to retrace the historic pilgrimage routes, on the ground and in a G-Class, exploring time, tradition, and the priceless values that have endured for generations.

The trailer and the first episode have already been rolled out and the remaining episodes are scheduled to be released on Shahid and Mercedes-Benz Middle East Youtube page, with plenty of additional content on the MercedesBenzME Instagram account as well.
