The world's best independent agencies revealed at WINA 2021

More than 300 independent agencies and multinational networks from 35 countries made the shortlist for the virtual edition of WINA 2021--the global advertising festival for indie creative shops-- with note-worthy submissions from countries such as Chile, Spain, Belgium, Brazil, United States, Costa Rica, France, Italy, Ecuador, Romania and Puerto Rico. There was also prominent participation from: Bolivia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Mexico, Germany, United Kingdom, Honduras, Portugal, Greece, Canada, Argentina, the United Arab Emirates, Mexico, Colombia, Australia, Peru, Thailand, the Dominican Republic and Taiwan.

For the important trophies obtained in Romania, Chile and Brazil, Samsung was declared the advertiser of the year.

Among the advertisers recognized were Etihad, Bankia, ElPozo, Pringles, Motorola-Lenovo, Uber, Unicef, HP and AB Inbev.

Claudio Lima (CCO), was named the creative director of 2021, with the creative agency of the year being: Cheil Brasil. Felipe Ortiz (Cheil Chile) and Noel Lang Agulló (Getting Better), ranked in second and third place as the creatives of the year.

The Americas protagonized the awards ceremony, along with Europe, which received 3 Grand Prix and 9 gold medals, with agencies from Spain, Belgium, Portugal and Italy taking home the awards; additionally, the Spanish agency Getting Better obtained a Titanium for its submission #NoMoreMatildas.
