Joe Abou-Khaled: ‘If I ruled the world, Lebanon would be its headquarters’
Posted on 2019 Feb,25

ArabAd picks the heart and mind of Impact BBDO’s regional creative director, Joe Abou-Khaled. Get up, close and personal with the man you are sure to find on a Friday night in a bar facing a generous bartender holding a Jack Daniel’s bottle.

What gets you up in the morning?

My kid’s call for milk.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

Making the world a better place.

Who do you ultimately want to become?

A progressive collective memory generator.

What inspires you most?

Beirut.

Who would you like to sit next to on a seven-hour flight?

The Sandman.

If you could live for one day the life of another person, who would it be?

The other side of me.

If you were to be reincarnated, what would you like to come back as?

My great-grandson, so he can tell the future generations how great was his great-grandpa.

What is your idea of perfect happiness?

Serenity.

Where can we find you on a Friday night?

Facing a generous bartender holding a Jack Daniel’s bottle.

What is the one word you catch yourself saying too often?

Innovate.

I AM

I am... therefore I think.

I like… every picture my wife posts.

I want... my lighter back.

I have... to fill in the blanks.

I wish... I can travel in time.

I hate... the fact that I can’t travel in time.

I fear... The monster within.

I Google... traffic on my way.

I wonder... when you’re not looking.

I regret... nothing at all.

I love... Léa.

I need... to finish this.

If I ruled the world... Lebanon would be the headquarters.

I dream… also when I sleep.
