In a move to drive collaboration between international broadcasting, production and content creation communities, the organizers of CABSAT and DISCOP Dubai have announced the co-location of their events from 17 to 19 May at Dubai World Trade Centre.

In a world where we see increased convergence between content and technology, this move makes sense for the industry.

CABSAT is the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region’s leading event for broadcasting, production, post-production and satellite solutions, while DISCOP Dubai services the needs of video content distributors and producers.

The two events focus primarily on the MENA region, one of the world's fastest-growing media and consumer marketplaces. Shifting viewing habits and rapidly evolving technology innovations in the region are presenting new and exciting opportunities for the respective communities to connect and collaborate.

As a result of this combined initiative, the organizers look forward to providing attendees with new opportunities to network and connect through a concierge meetings programme.  In addition for 2022, an enhanced Next Gen Content educational and screening program will place a special focus on how technology's newest mega-trend - the Metaverse - will impact the MENA region’s entertainment industry.

As well as organizing over 20 large-scale business events, Dubai World Trade Centre boasts the region’s largest purpose-built complex for events and exhibitions.

“With the mission to constantly enhance the experience of our customers and considering the growing importance of cross-sector collaboration, we look forward to connecting our broadcast, satellite and entertainment communities with more content creators and producers,” said Thomas Loffler, AVP, Exhibitions, Dubai World Trade Centre.

“In a post-pandemic world, collaboration can deliver an enhanced experience and a brand new set of networking and learning opportunities to our respective communities,” said Patrick Zuchowicki Jucaud, co-director of DISCOP Dubai.
