VML Dubai supercharges its creative line-up with two senior hires; namely Sebastian Galindo who has been appointed as senior copywriter at VML MENA and Andres Escobar appointed as Senior Art Director VML MENA.

They will will be based in Dubai and report to Mauricio Sanaiote, Global Creative Director, VML.

Both creatives are Colombian nationals who have been living in Dubai for almost two years now. Both come from MullenLowe MENA, which they joined in 2022.

Fun fact: they never met back in Colombia; only were introduced to each other once they joined the creative team of MullenLowe Dubai.

Sebastian has worked in different agencies for over nine years, including BBDO Colombia, Publicis Colombia, and MullenLowe MENA, developing local and regional campaigns for notable brands such as Heineken, Amstel, Ferrero, Grant's and the First Abu Dhabi Bank. Over these years, Galindo has been awarded and shortlisted in different festivals, such as Cannes Lions, Young Lions Colombia and UAE, Clio Awards, The One Show, and El Ojo de Iberoamerica.

On the other hand, Andres started his career 10 years ago at BBDO Colombia, where, over the years, he became Senior Art Director. Then he jumped to Media.monks Colombia to work for the Netflix and Spotify regional accounts, winning awards at some of the most prestigious creative festivals in the world.

He has won Colombia's Young Lions competition four times and has had the opportunity to represent Colombia at Cannes Lions. He has been ranked several times as one of the best young creative talents by Young Lions worldwide, and has been awarded at El Ojo de Iberoamerica, Clio Awards, and D&AD, among others.

About the new appointment, Sebastian and Andres said they are looking forward to the new challenge of developing creative work for one of VML’s most important global brands.

Although based in Dubai, they will work directly with the London office to respond to the global marketing team.
