on why he Chose to Settle in Dubai.

Dubai is an international city with many flavours. It provides all the comforts of home, no matter where you originate from, with attractions and facilities that cater for every possible need.

The UAE is also a country that embraced Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. That’s a martial art that came to Brazil from Japan and was adapted by the Gracie Family. Today the biggest BJJ event in the world is in the UAE, and every year the best athletes come to this town to train. I’ve been practicing this sport for 3 years and my son as well. So it’s great to be able to leave my country and enjoy better training in this Brazilian art, abroad.

I don’t complain about the hot summer, and the many beaches around the city don’t make me feel homesick.

Actually, it’s a privilege to have this inside view of the distinct history and traditions across the region. A unique opportunity to learn about the colourful mix of cultures from people who all share a common language but over a large geographical area. It’s a cultural challenge, which I see as a huge opportunity, and that is what excites me, makes me hungry to learn more and open my mind to different ways of looking at the world.
