Dubai Lynx, the much-anticipated MENA advertising awards that recognize and celebrate creative excellence and effectiveness in the region, has announced that its 2024 edition is open for submissions. The Festival is set to take place on Tuesday 5 March 2024 and will be followed by the Awards Ceremony and dinner on Wednesday 6 March 2024, where the winners will be announced at the Emirates Golf Club.

This year’s Festival will have two stages of content, featuring an exceptional line-up of industry talent from the region. The programme will focus on the themes of Creative Effectiveness, Talent & Culture, Creative Risks and AI & Innovation.

Confirmed to take the stage next March is Josy Paul, Chairman and Chief Creative Officer, BBDO India. Ranked among the most influential people in Indian advertising, Josy and his team won the inaugural Glass Lion Grand Prix at Cannes Lions for Whisper’s ‘Touch The Pickle’. He also won three Gold Lions for Ariel ‘Share The Load’ - ranked as the world’s most effective campaign twice in a row.

Commenting on being confirmed as the first speaker, Paul said: “I'm super excited to be a part of the content stream and programme at Dubai Lynx. I'm looking forward to the opportunity to connect with a diverse mix of visionaries and thought-leaders whose actions and stories will help add new value to our life and work. I'm here to seek fresh influences from unexpected sources and to collaborate with fellow creative minds. Let's embrace the winds of change and let the creativity of new worlds blow our minds!”

Further speakers will be announced, with the full programme launching in the new year.

Ian Fairservice, Vice Chairman, Dubai Lynx, said: “2024 is set to be a fantastic year for Dubai Lynx, with the evolution of many of our Awards including the introduction of Gaming to the Entertainment Lynx. Dubai Lynx will provide a forum to address the most pressing issues creatives across MENA are facing, through inspiring curated content, networking opportunities and agenda setting initiatives.”

Dubai Lynx has also announced changes to the 2024 Awards. The Entertainment Lynx has introduced a refreshed Branded Gaming section, following on from the success of the Entertainment Lions for Gaming at Cannes Lions this year. The six categories will celebrate creative work with gaming at the core. Other changes include a refresh to the Media Lynx, with a dedicated section for Media Agencies and retiring the Mobile Lynx, integrating the existing categories across the Awards to reflect how mobile devices have been embedded across every channel and discipline. Transformation categories have been added to the Brand Experience & Activation and PR Lynx Awards.

Simon Cook, CEO, LIONS, added: “It’s an exciting time for creativity in MENA, which is reflected across the evolution of our Awards and our fantastic content programme for 2024, including industry legend Josy Paul. Following on from the region’s success at Cannes Lions this year, we’re looking forward to celebrating and learning from the body of work that will set the industry standard for the region.”

Entries into Dubai Lynx are being accepted until 25 January 2024.
